Summer testing is brutal for citrus fragrances. This one didn't flinch. Still projecting clearly at hour six on a 30 degree day and the frankincense base came out beautifully once the skin warmed it up. The mint-tinted bottle is also just stunning in the sun.
I own Bulgari Pour Homme which shares the same nose and this is everything that fragrance promised to be. The black tea is brighter, the longevity is dramatically better and the LV bottle presentation elevates the whole experience. Worth every cent of the upgrade.
Got this for my husband and he said it's the first time a fragrance actually felt like it suited him. He wears it every day now. The citrus ginger opening is confident without being loud and by mid-morning it settles into this clean tea and amber thing that just works.
The guaiac wood and olibanum in the base are doing something very quiet but very important here. There is a barely-there smokiness that stops this from being just another clean citrus. Worn it to two job interviews and got a compliment in both.
Wore this through an entire workday then straight to dinner without reapplying. Still smelling it clearly at 10pm. The neroli and cinnamon heart is so well blended, nothing sticks out awkwardly. One of the cleanest fresh aromatics I have come across.
Was on the fence about the price for months. Finally pulled the trigger and the only regret is waiting so long. The refillable format makes the long-term cost reasonable and the scent on fabric genuinely lasts days. Compliment magnet every single time.
Jacques Cavallier made something that smells vintage in structure but completely modern in delivery. The bergamot opens the way Italian colognes used to, but the ambroxan base is pure contemporary luxury. I don't know how it works but it absolutely does.
The aqua tinted glass bottle and the black LV cap are among the best-looking bottles in perfumery right now. Then the scent is a bergamot-tea-ambroxan experience that keeps developing all day. Bought the 100ml knowing it was going to disappear fast and I was right.
