RETURN & REFUND POLICY

1. OVERVIEW

At Maison Éclat, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we offer returns and refunds within 14 calendar days of the delivery date, subject to the conditions outlined below.

2. ELIGIBILITY FOR RETURNS

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet all of the following conditions:

- The return request is initiated within 14 calendar days of the confirmed delivery date.
- The item is unused, unopened, and in its original packaging, including all seals, wrapping, and accompanying materials.
- The item is in the same condition in which it was received.
- Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is provided.

Items that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted for return and will be sent back to you at your expense.

3. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

- Products that have been opened, used, or had their seals broken.
- Products damaged due to misuse, mishandling, or negligence by the customer.
- Items marked as final sale at the time of purchase.
- Gift cards or promotional items.

4. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

1. Contact us at maisoneclat@email.com within 14 calendar days of your delivery date.
2. Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for your return.
3. Our team will respond within 2 business days with return instructions and a return authorization.
4. Ship the item back to us using a trackable shipping method. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was received damaged or incorrect / not as described.

Do not send items back without first receiving a return authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be processed.

5. REFUNDS

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

- If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item sent).
- If your refund is delayed beyond 10 business days, please contact us at [your email address].

6. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If you received a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery with photographic evidence of the damage or incorrect item. We will arrange a full refund or store credit at no additional cost to you.

7. EXCHANGES

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you wish to exchange a product, please initiate a return for the original item and place a new order for the desired item.

8. GOVERNING LAW

This Return & Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, including but not limited to the Alberta Consumer Protection Act and the Sale of Goods Act (Alberta).
