The drydown on Blue Talisman Extrait is something I wasn't prepared for. Vanilla and sandalwood that just wraps around you. Still smelling it 11 hours later.
This is the kind of perfume that makes strangers turn around and ask what you're wearing. Got the Extrait after loving the EDP and this is just on a different level. The jasmine and pear combo in the opening with that deeper amber base underneath. Just buy it.
Came in expecting something similar to the EDP and got something completely different. The Extrait is denser and smoother, with way more floral depth in the heart. Jasmine sambac is more forward here and I'm not mad about it. That navy bottle looks incredible on the shelf, the woven gold cap is genuinely luxurious. Longevity for me is pushing 12 hours easily.
My morning routine has fully changed since this arrived. Spritz before leaving the house and I'm getting compliments by 9am.
Wasn't sure about the Extrait vs just getting the EDP again but wow. The projection on this is something else. That cocktail of amber woods and musks just hits differently in Extrait concentration. Goes on every morning and I still get whiffs of it at my desk hours later.
Two sprays of this and I'm done for the rest of the week. Incredible scent, incredible bottle.
I sampled Blue Talisman EDP about a year ago and liked it but wasn't sure. Then a friend showed up wearing this Extrait and I was immediately asking what she had on. Ordered that same evening. The orange blossom and jasmine opening is so clean and feminine without being girly, and the vanilla base is subtle warmth rather than sweetness. Wore this to a dinner last week and had three separate people comment on it.
The scent itself is really beautiful. Pear and jasmine in the opening, warm woods and vanilla underneath. My only issue is the performance isn't quite what I expected for an Extrait concentration. On my skin it fades to a skin scent around hour 5 or 6. For this price I was hoping for more projection. Would still recommend, just noting it.
Been searching for a signature scent for two years. This is it. The pear-amber combo with sandalwood underneath. Nothing else like it.
I have about 15 bottles in my collection and this one jumped to the top three already. The Extrait concentration is just masterfully done. Ex Nihilo didn't just boost the notes, they added real floral depth with jasmine sambac and orange blossom that the EDP doesn't have. And that deep navy bottle is just gorgeous. Still smelling it on my wrist 10 hours after spraying.
Own both versions and the Extrait is just in a completely different league. The drydown here is so much more complex. Sandalwood and musks settle beautifully over the first hour. On me it lasts close to 11 hours, which for daily wear is exactly what I want.
Got this as a gift and ordered my own bottle within two days. That Ambrofix base is something special.
Ordered this after seeing it mentioned in a fragrance community thread. A few months in and I've worn it probably 50 times already. The jasmine and orange blossom opening never gets old, and the bottle looks like a piece of art on the shelf.
