Already knew I loved Penhaligon's but this set was next level. The stag and peacock caps feel like actual jewelry. Clara is the one I keep reaching for - all warm vanilla and cinnamon, nothing like anything I own. Getting the full size.
Bought this set specifically to try Lord George before committing to a full bottle. That woody fougere with the rum undertone is exactly what I was hoping for. Old-school gentleman done right and the longevity surprised me on fabric.
Had zero expectations for Clara but that patchouli-vanilla combo is genuinely addictive. Warm, a little smoky and incredibly wearable. One of those scents where you keep sniffing your own wrist.
Opened this on a Saturday morning and it looked like something from a museum. That illustrated Victorian artwork on the packaging, then the bottles inside with the gold animal heads. Even my mum stopped to look. All four scents are completely distinct from each other which I appreciate.
Not usually a rose person but Duchess Rose is a totally different beast. It's rosy and a bit watery with this bright citrus opening, drying down to something clean and elegant. Wearing it to work and getting questions about it all week.
That hyacinth and iris combination is so elegant. Lady Blanche smells like a garden party in a manor house. This whole set is worth it for that one alone but the other three are solid too.
Had wanted to try this brand for years. This miniature set was exactly the right way in. Four fully formed 30ml bottles each representing a completely different character and scent family. Lord George for mornings, Clara for evenings out. The set pulls off what most sampler collections never do.
The scents are genuinely beautiful, Lady Blanche especially. On my skin longevity runs about 4 to 5 hours though. Could be my skin chemistry. Packaging and concept are outstanding and I would still recommend this to anyone.
The peacock cap on Clara and the stag on Lord George are just perfect. Display them open on my dresser. Smells incredible too obviously but the presentation is what got me first.
Woody, a bit barbershop, with this warm rum and tonka drydown that quietly takes over. Wore it to a dinner and had three people ask about it by 9pm. The 30ml is more than enough to know you want the full bottle.
That cinnamon and amber base on Clara is something I have never smelled anywhere else. It dries down into this warm slightly boozy vanilla that stays into the next morning on my clothes. Absolutely hooked.

I generally avoid floral fragrances but something about that narcissus and hyacinth combo in Lady Blanche is different. It's cool and a bit green, not sweet. Completely changed my mind about what florals can be.
Lord George is for when I want to feel sharp. Clara is for late nights. This set has basically replaced my whole rotation for two months running. The bottles also just look beautiful sitting on a shelf.
Been through all four already and ordered a full bottle of Lord George. Now considering Lady Blanche. Enough of each to really wear them and decide, not just a sniff strip experience.
The quality gap between this and regular department store fragrance sets is obvious from the moment you open the box. Lord George alone justifies the price. That rum and tonka note, understated and sophisticated. Two compliments before 10am.
If you like warm, slightly sweet, a little smoky scents, Clandestine Clara will get you. That patchouli doesn't go sharp the way it can in cheaper fragrances. It stays soft and rounds out the vanilla beautifully. Already halfway through my 30ml.
Opened this set skeptically. Duchess Rose was the one I expected to skip and it's now the one I wear most. The rosy bergamot opening and that soft sandalwood base are something between clean and elegant in a way that's hard to explain. Would not have found it without this set.
Already on my third set. The scents are consistent batch to batch which matters. Lady Blanche has this precise cool-floral clarity I would notice if it ever changed. The illustrated box art is as striking every single time.
